Job summary
Reports to Network Medical officer administratively and Technical Lead Strategic Information by function. The incumbent will assist in the implementation, and operation of CIDRZ M&E systems.
Main duties
• Supports implementation of the M&E system
• Develops and adhere to reporting plans and ensure its timely implementation.
• Builds capacity of Mentorship networks, ZDF and clinical staff in understanding performance indicators and Targets
Formulates of result-oriented implementation plans at various levels for the approved projects.
• Develops DQA plans and ensures they are implemented.
Supports the development and implementation of the Data Use and demand strategy.
• Trains and mentors other staff in M&E, Data Management, and Analysis activities
• Supports MoH and Programme Staff to mentor facilities in implementing protocols for collection and entry of data and data management, including data back-ups and validation, data quality assurance (DQA) checks.
• Analyzes the service delivery data provided by the facilities and identify the successes and challenges of the program.
• Provides regular DQAs/DRMs on the facility data to ensure accurate and complete data.
• Produces facility and District reports and identify the successes and challenges of the program.
• Monitors and evaluates overall progress on achievement of results.
• Provides feedback to the M&E team on project strategies and activities.
• Compiles and submits all the required reports for management, MoH, DOD and other partners, accurately and timely in the templates provided.
• Creates slideshows and visuals for the reported data.
• Provides feedback to the facilities on the performance of indicators and monitors progress of improvement.
• Ensure QI projects are correctly implemented and monitored.
Qualifications
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Demography, Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, or any relevant field with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
• Familiar with at least one advanced statistical package – R, STATA, SAS, etc
• Experience working with DHIS II, SmartCare and Laboratory Information Systems including DISA.
• Demonstrated experience in management of large datasets and databases and supporting various reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and learn new data technologies, systems, and processes.
• Experience with USG/CDC programs is and added advantage.
• Skilled in District Health Information System (DHIS) and SmartCare
• Excellent skills in excel and power point presentation.
• Ability to work independently, exercise discretion and independent judgement in the execution of duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
