Role Purpose:
The Assistant Field Facilitator is a key member of the sponsorship and programming team in fulfilling the mission of sponsorship. The incumbent is responsible for sponsorship policies and procedures, a variety of field tasks including receiving, translating, and delivering as well as mobilizing the community to participate in the sponsorship funded programs. The incumbent is also responsible for implementing field level activities under programs, Social Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy and community mobilization Plan.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Correspondence Management:
1) Deliver incoming mails and gift packages to children in the field and collect child responses/replies within the stipulated timeframe,
2) Ensure that Community Based Staff check all children’s replies for appropriateness, quality and authenticity when delivered and collected from the field.
Child Information Management Plan [CIMP]
1. Conduct community sensitization/awareness and mobilization meetings for the operations program,
2. Produce evidence of all community meetings in form of Minutes/Reports and submit monthly,
3. Conduct verification and completeness of sponsorship family applications/Case History Forms and with signed parental consent,
4. Monitoring child eligibility/ineligibility and ensuring that each enrolled child participates in sponsorship-funded programs or receives a program benefit that is identifiable and can be documented.
Marketing and Retention Plan
1. Conduct Midyear Year Eligibility Check (MYEC), Annual Family Update (AFU), and ensure quality control issues raised during the campaign and are resolved within the stipulated timeframe.
2. Collect quarterly success stories, blogs and support video shooting as assigned by QCC.
Assist Database Management
1. Report all child/children ineligibilities accompanied by timely detailed report including deaths,
2. Ensure that correspondence and downstream reports are shared with Community Agent, staff and Volunteers.
Planning & Reporting
1. Support sponsorship team with the Program Implementation plans and monitor program benefits for enrolled children in the program,
2. Write quarterly and monthly reports for Sponsorship program as per respective community,
3. Visit communities to verify children’s information.

Programs implementation and monitoring
1. Work with children in ensuring there is child participation in programming.
2. Work with partners to implement programmes in ASRH, Child Protection and Education field activities.
3. Documenting of project/partner experiences to capture the best practices, the results and impacts achieved and any other experiences relevant for sharing with others.
4. Document case stories for each thematic area on a quarterly basis.
5. Ensure effective implementation of program activities in the field.
6. Responsible for conducting community-based trainings related to ASRH, Child Protection and Education.
7. Orient parents, caregivers and other duty bearers of ASRH, Child Protection and Education on child rights and safeguarding
8. Prepare quality timely monthly and quarterly reports.
9. Collection of monthly data (Statistics) from Schools, Facilities and the Community Child Protection Committees.
10. Undertake regular field monitoring visits.
11. Conduct meetings with Community Agents, Child Rights Clubs, CCPCs.
12. Implementing community based Social Behaviour Change (SBC) Strategy activities.

Community Mobilization (CM) Plan.
• Build the capacity of the Core groups in Community Mobilization.
• Work with identified Community Core Groups (Change Agents, CCPCs, Child Rights clubs, School Management).
• Work with core groups to explore to identify issues affecting children.
• Facilitate the implementation of action plans by Core Groups.
The post holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum qualification of a relevant Diploma in Social Sciences,
• At least 3 years relevant work experience,
• Knowledge of computers; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point),
• Strong Planning, Organizational and Communication skills (English and Nyanja/Nsenga)
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Experience working on a Child Education Program an added advantage
• Strong networking skills,
• Experience working with local key stakeholders,
• Motor Bike License class “A” is a must.
• Ready to work and live in local communities of Petauke district as assigned.
