Job Description
• The Investment Analyst will evaluate financial data, market trends, and economic indicators to provide insights for investment decisions. They will conduct thorough research, assess risks, and recommend investment strategies to optimize portfolio performance. Analyzing company financials, and industry trends, and staying informed about market conditions are essential aspects of the role. Effective communication of findings and recommendations to stakeholders is also crucial.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Investment Analyst will be expected to carry out the following duties:
1. Financial Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive financial analyses of companies and industries.
• Evaluate financial statements, ratios, and performance metrics to assess investment potential.
2. Market Research:
• Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and relevant news.
• Analyze data to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
3. Risk Assessment:
• Assess and quantify risks associated with potential investments.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
4. Investment Strategies:
• Formulate investment strategies based on thorough research and analysis.
• Provide recommendations for asset allocation and portfolio optimization.
5. Company Evaluation:
• Analyze the financial health, management, and competitive positioning of target companies.
• Evaluate industry dynamics and regulatory factors influencing investments.
6. Communication Skills:
• Effectively communicate complex financial concepts and investment recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members and present findings to stakeholders.
7. Data Management:
• Utilize various data sources and analytical tools for research and modeling.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used in decision-making.
8. Monitoring and Reporting:
• Regularly monitor and update investment portfolios based on changing market conditions.
• Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance and investment outlook.
9. Client Interaction:
• Engage with clients to understand their financial goals and risk tolerance.
• Provide personalized investment advice and address client inquiries.
10. Compliance and Ethics:
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in all investment activities.
• Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements.
11. Continuous Learning:
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, financial innovations, and emerging market trends.
• Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Work with Commercial Controller & CFO in transaction execution

Qualifications
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience (internships will be counted)
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, and/or a professional qualification from a recognized professional qualification body (i.e.: CIMA, ACCA)
• A master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Demonstrate advanced skills in corporate finance and numeracy.
• Extensive knowledge of SAGE Pastel accounting
• Good presentation skills
• Able to work under great pressure and must be highly flexible.
