Your role
• To promote and support sales of dewatering pumps business in Zambia using technical knowledge and commercial training.
• To establishes new and grow old accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales calls.
Overall, Purpose of the Role:
• To support dewatering pump business growth by translating and explaining highly complex technical information/problems to dealers, customers, and other clients, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems.
To succeed, you will need
• Good general knowledge of pumps and pumps applications.
• Good understanding of pump fundamentals, pumps operations and pump components
• Well versed in pump installation, servicing and commissioning
• Excellent track record and experience in pump sales, client communication and customer service.
• Must have solid experience selling a complete range of water pumps.
• Research and identify target markets and clients to grow market share.
• Develop and implement pump sales strategies to reach potential customers.
• Visiting customers to gather requirements and providing pump solutions.
• Ensure quality of engineering/service support at customer sites.
• Facilitate sales growth associated with parts, upgrades, and repairs at key customers and business partners.
• Contribute sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews including competitor actions and products.
• Preparing proposals and other technical documents that guides the customer on the provided pump solutions.
• Set objectives to train and coach business partners, such as dealers and distributors and monitor their performance.
• Uphold business ethics and good business conduct guidelines.
• Mechanical Engineering background and relevant experience in the pump industry.
• 5-10 years pump sales/service experience
• Must have relevant pump knowledge.
• Must have a proven track record of selling and or servicing and repairing pumps with a high degree of customer service skills.
• Result oriented with strong organizational skills.
