IT Field Service Technician – Retail
Purpose Of Role

Under the direct supervision of the Head IT, the incumbent shall provide Service and customer support in installation, repair, maintenance and tests of weighing equipment according to Spruceland’s procedures and policies.

Responsibilities
• Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Tie workflow to schedule.
• Manage all on-site installations, repairs, maintenance and test tasks in reasonable time.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports
• Document processes
• Operate company vehicles and field automated systems in a safe manner.
• Follow all company filed procedures and protocols
• Corporate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
• Build positive relationships with customers
• Be able to market products and services to clients
• Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications And Experiences Required
Incumbent must be Female and have:
• Certificate or diploma – Any Technical Studies
• Certificate or diploma – IT (Vast understanding of networking and SQL server management is an added advantage)

Experience
• At least one (1) year of relevant and progressive equipment support, installations, repair and calibrations work experience.

Competencies And Skills
• Must have a driving licence B, C1
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service related equipment
• Ability to work independently and respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner;
• Ability to work under flexible shifts and ready learn new equipment operations.
• Ability to use mobile tools and application.
• Team orientated, with strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
Language Requirement
Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of one of or several other languages spoken in Zambia would be an added advantage

Information Technology Manager
Overview

The successful applicant will be expected to work full time from the Firm’s office in Lusaka.

Main Responsibilities
• Manage technology services that meet operational requirements in designated area(s) of the
Firm.
• Serve as the lead IT liaison with senior administration and Firm staff.
• Direct and coordinate the local implementation of the firm’s IT operations, policies, and programs, ensuring alignment of IT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established IT and risk management principles and best management practices.
• Conduct weekly back-up of the Firm’s critical data and ensure the Firm’s IT infrastructure is kept safe from cyberthreats and can appropriately withstand such threats.
• Create, maintain and periodically update the Firm’s business continuity protocols including handover protocols for the IT department.
• Appropriately document the Firm’s IT architecture
• Reviews vendor contracts and coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with user needs.
• Maintaining records of software licenses.
• Deliver appropriate personnel actions and educational and training programs to ensure high quality professional staff performance in the implementation of new policies or programs.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short- and long- range IT planning, with an emphasis on advocating for the needs of the area(s) supported; implements tracking and evaluation programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
• Participate in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures consistent with those of the Firm to ensure effective operation of an organization.
• Participate as a member of the firm’s IT Management Committee in planning and problem resolution and performance review of the Firm’s IT infrastructure.
• Maintain current knowledge of the applicable and appropriate state-of-the-art technology equipment and/or systems.

Other Responsibilities
• Offer daily operations and systems support to the Firm’s personnel.
• Setting up of computer LAN for new outlet while providing solution to i.t matters concurrently.
• Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
• Restricting access to unauthorized site, downloads and users.
• Setting up accounts for staff, educate them on log in and resolve issues arising.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
• Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
• Repairing, where appropriate, equipment and replacing parts, checking computer equipment for electrical safety.

Requirements
• BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
• At least 5 years’ experience in ICT support
• N+, Server+ added bonus
• Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.

JOB DETAILS:
The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) is a statutory body responsible for the regulation of provision of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) and Postal and Courier Services in Zambia. The Authority also coordinates and oversees activities relating to cyber security and the combating of cyber-crime.

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring corporate and regulatory compliance to the Laws, guidelines and policies; lead in mitigating corporate legal risks; propose and review regulatory frameworks and oversee the enforcement function including licensing of various ICTs, postal and courier services.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement legal and regulatory strategies and ensure effective regulatory compliance to stipulated guidelines, regulations and laws;
ii. Provide guidance to the Authority on legal and regulatory affairs;
iii. Propose amendments, development and review of legal and regulatory frameworks;
iv. Oversee the review of legislation, guidelines and ensure that the Authority is compliant to established regulatory standards;
v. Provide legal representation to the Authority and manage the full range of legal strategies;
vi. Keep up with current changes in laws and contribute to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the Authority's legal function;
vii. Offer legal guidance on strategic issues affecting the Authority's mandate; viii. Ensure the development, implementation and monitoring of licensing frameworks and adherence to license terms and conditions issued by the Authority; and
ix. Spearhead enforcement on non-compliant licensees in line with established guidelines.

EXPERIENCE
Seven (7) years working relevant experience preferably in the ICT sector and/or Regulatory environment, four (4) of which must be at Management level.
