JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking to recruit a Head Guide to be based at Lolebezi Safari Lodge in Lower Zambezi.
Summary:
Head guide is responsible for leading high quality safari experiences, overseeing the guiding team, ensuring Guest safety and delivering exceptional informative and memorable wilderness experience.

Job description:
• Communicate on a daily basis with the Guides and Management as to guest allocations and requests.
• Lead and conduct daily safari tours and walking safaris
• Ensure safety and comfort of all Guests while on safari
• Help promote the ABC brand and making sure the ABC standards are met at all times
• To ensure the guests receive the most professional and efficient service possible while guiding.
• Ensure that you all vehicles and boats are checked and are in good working condition and appropriate for a guest. Ensure guests hotboxes and cooler boxes are packed according to lodge protocol.
• Responsible for guest activity and transfer planning.
• Training and development of all Guides within ABC on Guest handling, wilderness knowledge, tracking and safety protocols. Oversee mentor and support of all guides to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all wildlife and environmental conservations laws and guidelines
• Ensure that all relevant documentation, sighting reports and Guest feedback required for the department is complete and submitted to Management in due time.
• To make sure communications on the ABC digital platforms is up to date.
• Hosting guests and ensuring that guest expectations are met.
• Uphold the guides’ code of conduct.

Qualifications:
• 5 experiences as a full guide in Lower Zambezi
• Professional guiding certification
• Extensive knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, conservation principles and safety protocols
• Relevant training in emergency response
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication people handling skills
