FACILITY WORKER
Job Summary
The overall responsibility of Facility Worker is to serve the Legacy Academy’s maintenance and cleaning needs. They are responsible for ensuring high levels of hygiene in the toilets and school premises are maintained.

Typical Responsibilities – Key End Results of Position
• Ensure general cleanliness of the school premises.
• Ensure that the toilets and open spaces are always kept clean to FLMZ and LCC standards.
• Ensure that handwashing soap, toilet paper and clean water are available.
• Ensure that toilet paper is available in the toilet at all times (Break, Lunch and Knocking of time)
• Oversee garbage collection.
• Take weekly inventory of cleaning supplies in collaboration with the Head Teacher.
• Communicate through the Head teacher the notable maintenance issues in the school.
• The Facility Worker must develop and maintain excellent working relationship with the Legacy Academy staff.
• Help communicate any security concerns to the Head Teacher.
Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors required to achieve role’s objectives
• Minimum of a Grade 9 certificate
• Ability to write and communicate in English.
• Trades certificate would be an added advantage

FOOD HANDLER
The overall responsibility of Food handler is to serve the Legacy Academy’s by helping to implement the School Lunch program by cooking the prescribed portions every day and ensuring cooking and serving areas are clean as per FLMZ routines/procedures and Lusaka City Council standards.

• Daily cooking and serving food according to the prescribed portions and time.
• Ensure that the kitchen or cooking area is kept clean.
• Update Head Teacher on weekly inventory for food and other supplies.
• Ensure that all plates, spoons and cooking pots are kept clean at all times.
• The Facility Worker must develop and maintain excellent working relationship with the Legacy Academy staff.
• Help communicate any security concerns to the Head Teacher.

• Minimum of a Grade 9 certificate
