Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed and passionate employee for the position of Chain Saw/Brush Cutter Operator to join the versatile LPDC Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Supervisor – Plants Operations, you will be responsible for grass cutting, maintaining of park and garden, tree cutting, and any other task as assigned by the supervisor. All related works must be done in a safe and healthy manner in line with Barrick’s safety and environmental policies.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Grass cutting with brush cutting machines and otherwise.
• Tree cutting with chain saw and otherwise.
• Maintenance and cleaning of parks and gardens
• Spotting equipment such as tractor and TLB
• General housekeeping as assigned.
• Painting of parks and gardens where required.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Knowledge on how to operate a brush cutting machine.
• Experience in brush cutting is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of industrial and the environment safety
• Good communication skills both written and spoken.
