JOB DETAILS:
Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed, and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

1. STOCK ACCOUNTANT – MASTERPORK CHONGWE (X1)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Responsible for all stocks/inventory.
• Daily stock report showing stocks held in each cold storage.
• Actively involved in all systems-related installations and upgrades – Abaserve, Alien, etc.
• Ensuring that all measuring, recording, reporting equipment and accessories (e.g., scales, computers, printers) required to run and maintain an effective Abaserve/Alien stock management system are in place and always in good running condition.
• Staff training and support in Abaserve/Alien implementation concerning data capture, correct recording and interpretation of data, reports, etc.
• Ensuring full understanding of the Abaserve/Alien stock management systems across the plant, and ensuring that the required security controls are enforced at all times.
• Evaluating the performance of key staff (e.g., supervisors and Abaserve/Alien operators) to identify training gaps for continued improvement and smooth running of the Abaserve/Alien systems.
• Ensuring correct stock holding and movement per department or location as per stock sheets, using the stock management system to build and maintain a sound stock rotation system throughout the plant.
• Analysing all yield and stock reports, challenging production on all out-of-spec yields, as well as stock variances and ensuring that necessary/appropriate corrective action or disciplinary action is taken against erring staff.
• Ensuring correct stocks of all raw materials going into production recipes are always verified and confirmed.
• Investigating price changes and alerting management on the impact of these costs on product cost and subsequent profitability.
• Maintaining product cost, quality, and structure consistency by constantly monitoring and policing recipes in terms of input material quantities.
• Ensuring that variations to recipes are signed off by factory management, having fully understood the implications of the changes.
• Coordinating with production to reduce losses in cutting, processing, smoking, cooking, packing, and reworks.
• Ensuring all inventory claims are followed up with supplier complaints and CRN received.
• Ensuring all records are kept and documents are neatly filed.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls on financial matters.

The Required Qualifications Are:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Degree in Accounting, or Full CA, ZICA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a related position.
• Class B Driver’s License.
• Must be a Member of ZICA.

The Required Attributes for the Role Include:
• Computer Literate.
• Willing to work long hours.
• Good computer skills, integrated process, and stock control systems exposure.
• Basic knowledge of business management, meat production, people management, and strategic planning.

2. PROCUREMENT OFFICER – MASTERPORK CHONGWE (x1)
The Required Skills for the Role Include:
• Sourcing for goods and services upon receipt of approved purchase requisitions from stores and end users.
• Evaluating suppliers’ products and services.
• Ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality with the comparison of 3 quotations from different suppliers.
• Ensuring that the purchase order (PO) is signed by the Head of Department.
• Implementing procurement guidelines to ensure that MasterPork Ltd conforms to the company’s policies.
• Ensuring communication with the Head of Department takes center stage in everyday activities.
• Ensuring there is transparency in purchasing of materials.
• Ensuring there is good record-keeping for all business transactions.
• Regularly assessing activities conducted to identify any significant hazards.
• Putting an action plan in place in order to control hazards by eliminating, isolating, or minimising them.
• Recording all actions taken.
• Wearing and using appropriate protective clothing and safety equipment.
• Adhering to all company Health and Safety policies.
• Any other assigned duties.

The Required Qualifications Are:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a Purchasing Management role, preferably in an FMCG.
• Contract management and supplier experience.
• Must be a Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply (ZIPS).

The Required Attributes for the Role Include:
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage Key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

3. STORES CLERK – MASTERPORK CHONGWE (x1)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Issuing stock as per approved stock requisition by HODs.
• Recording all goods received on electronic GRN.
• Recording all issued items on electronic system.
• Ensuring all supporting documents are in place and duly approved before capturing on electronic systems.
• Ensuring all supporting documents are scanned and attached to processed documents on the electronic system.
• Implementing and maintaining document flow and filing systems in stores.
• Ensuring document flow is controlled and recorded.
• Responsible for any document request from stores by suppliers, procurement, accounts, end users, or stores department.
• Responsible for the follow-up of any missing documents on stores transactions and reporting any variances to the Stores Manager.
• Assisting Stocks Manager with reports and statistics.
• Preparing monthly stock sheets and staying up to date with new or stale items.
• Updating electronic system on all variances of stores item details, requesting codes for new items, and removing stale items.
• Updating electronic records with physical stock take and reporting all variances to Stocks Manager in time.
• Assisting Stores Manager with any tasks assigned to him/her.
• Responsible for maintaining the hygiene environment in stores.
• Filling of green copies in sequence.

The Required Qualifications Include:
• Grade 12 full Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Procurement.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be a Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).

The Required Attributes Include:
• Computer literate and experience in accounting package is an advantage.
• Interacts with superiors and subordinates, requiring tact.
• Prepares stores reports for the attention of superior.
• Compiles stores statistics.

4. Security Manager – Mpongwe Feedmill (X1)
The Required Skills for the Role Include:
• Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches, and reinforcing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
• Leading and managing a team of security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects.
• Conducting regular security assessments, audits, and inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
• Managing access control systems, surveillance equipment, and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness.
• Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities.
• Investigating security breaches, incidents, and violations, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborating with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security measures and respond to incidents.
• Fostering a culture of security awareness and training employees on security protocols and procedures.
• Educating employees on security awareness, policies, and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives.
• Promoting and adhering to Zambeef’s procedures, policies, and guidelines, including those relating to food safety, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

The Required Qualifications Are:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Security Management.
• Degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience.
• Police or any Law Enforcement work experience will be an added advantage.

The Required Attributes Include:

• Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
• Excellent investigations and evidence collection skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of security environments and hazards.
