JOB DETAILS:
Mkambo Farms Limited, located in Chisamba is looking to employ an experienced and motivated Feeding Supervisor who will report to the Dairy Farm Manager. The Farm invites applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the position. The applicant must have the following qualifications.

Education and Work Experience
Grade 12 Certificate
Certificate/diploma in Animal Nutrition
8 years post qualification and 3 years in a Supervisory role as a feed supervisor at a large livestock farm

Main Accountabilities
1. Fore Manage Feeding Operations:
– Oversee the daily feeding routines for the dairy animals on the farm.
– Ensure that animals receive the appropriate feed, supplements, and water according to their nutritional needs.
– Monitor feed quality and storage conditions.
2. Inventory Management:
– Track inventories of feed and other supplies coming onto the farm.
– Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient utilisation of feed resources.
3. Supervise Staff:
– Lead a team of feeders and assistants.
– Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
4. Quality Control:
– Monitor feed quality and adjust rations as needed.
– Address any issues related to feed contamination or spoilage promptly.
5. Record Keeping:
– Maintain accurate feed consumption records, inventory levels, and feeding schedules.
6. Prepare reports for management.
7. Health and Safety:
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
– Promote a safe working environment for all staff.
