Invitation for Technical and Financial Proposal
UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, works to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. We are the lead United Nations agency that expands the possibilities for women and young people to lead healthy sexual and reproductive lives.
UNFPA invites qualified organizations to submit proposals for the implementation of the 9th Country Programme Document. The purpose of the Invitation for Proposals (IFP) is to identify eligible non-governmental organizations for prospective partnership with UNFPA Zambia to support achievement of results outlined in the 2023-2027 CPD results framework, to augment existing implementing partners solicited during round one for the call for proposal.
UNFPA in Zambia is currently implementing its 9th Country Programme of Corporation with the Government of the Republic of Zambia (2023-2027). The Country Programme is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) -in particular SDG 3 and 5 aimed at improving health and gender equality, the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF 2023-2027); as well as the UNFPA global Strategic Plan (2022-2025) aimed at ending preventable maternal deaths, ending unmet need for family planning, and ending gender-based violence and all harmful practices including child marriage.
The UNFPA Zambia Country office requests prospective Non-Governmental Organizations to submit a full technical and financial proposal for the 9 GRZ-UNFPA Country Programme in response to section 1.3 of the terms of reference. The Non-Governmental Organizations are requested to send their submissions by email, clearly marked "NGO Invitation for Proposals" and addressed to the following:

Proposals received after the date and time will not be accepted for consideration.
Applications must be submitted in English.
Any requests for additional information/questions must be addressed in writing to zambia.office@unfpa.org. UNFPA will provide immediate responses to queries or clarification requests by any NGO applicants who submitted.
UNFPA shall formally notify organizations on the outcome of their proposals at the end of the process.
