Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company is offering Internship Development program to highly committed individuals to gain industrial experience in Process Operations under Process Plant Department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Under the supervision of the Senior Shift Supervisor/Senior Metallurgist, you will be involved in the processing operations, safety and housekeeping standards and meeting set parameters.
You will be required to give Metallurgical/Operational support but not limited to the following:
• Ensure efficient operation of the plant area by maintaining circuit parameters as directed by the Senior Metallurgist/Senior Shift Supervisor to achieve set targets.
• Ensure safe and optimal utilization of all fixed Plant throughout the processing area as required to maintain circuit desired parameters.
• Ensure effective use of consumables including grinding media and chemical reagents.
• Record all operating parameters and changes as required by the Senior Shift Supervisor/Senior Metallurgist.
• Maintain communications with Shift Supervisors, all other processing personnel, and Metallurgical personnel’s as and when required.
• Maintain good housekeeping through spillage cleaning, orderly workplace and controlling placement of supplies.
• Conduct Geo-Met test works in the metallurgical laboratory and work hand in hand with MRM team.
• Management of Instream Analyzers for correct functioning.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate
• Must be a recent graduate from a recognized learning institution.
• Degree/Diploma in Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering or related field
• Good communication Skills
• Willingness to Learn
• Attention to detail.
