JOB DETAILS:
Purpose of the Job:
• To develop and implement effective marketing, advertising, sales and communication strategies, and enhance customer engagement by promoting the company’s brand position through the promotion of its products and services and execute strategies to expand our market presence and branch networks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to achieve revenue generation, increase of market shares and overall business growth for the company by planning daily, weekly and monthly sales activities.
• Set marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertisements and marketing
• Conduct market analysis to monitor trends for new products and service development, and champion the development of such products and services.
• Research and develop marketing opportunities, and plan and implement new sales plans.
• Manage advertising by providing and monitoring periodic content/promotions for all communication channels, including amongst others but not limited to the company’s websites, social media accounts.
• Determine the demand for products and services offered by the company and identify potential customers.
• Develop new products as appropriate, using field data and competitor analysis.
• Champion marketing strategies to promote company brand, its products and services and customer engagement.
• Coordinate regular customer satisfaction surveys and market research.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets for the Sales and Marketing function and provide monthly Budget v Actual reports.
• Interacts with the local community, business organizations, and industry networks to promote goodwill and generates new businesses
• Maintain relationships with clients/brokers by making regular visits, understanding their needs, solving their issues and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
• Enhance company visibility and build confidence with other insurers to expand the co-insurance business.
• Manage sales team targets and ensure that the sales team meets their quotas and goals and overall department sales target.
• Manage, mentor and develop a high performance Sales Team to help them achieve and surpass requisite targets and oversee day-to-day sales, take charge of quotations and monitor customer response metrics.
• Manage both the marketing and the sales staff, including branches to meet the company’s operations goals.
• Manage underperforming Marketing Officers and branches, and take necessary corrective actions.
• Oversee branch sales and marketing to enhance business growth and drive customer retention.
• Drive increase in branch sales and marketing and increase visibility of offices at the branches for company growth.

Experience and Qualifications
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Project Management or relevant field
• At least 7 years’ work experience in insurance, financial sector or related industry
• Wider knowledge of Insurance industry in Zambia added advantage
• Excellent customer service, communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in digital and online marketing
• Experience in developing and maintaining marketing strategies
