JOB DETAILS:
Reporting the Mining Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting Blasting License (BL) trainings, assessments, and implementation of a comprehensive training program designed to ensure all blasters including all employees who must be blasting licence holders are given the tools to achieve excellence in the mining blasting operations to meet the minimum requirements according to the provisions of the law.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Train and assess BL holders for purpose of renewing and or initiating the licence.
• Support in the Implementation and development of facilitator’s manuals, capability assessments, workplace competency assessments support the compliance to Blasting License holder requirements, and training of drill operators.
• Manage costs through efficient training of employees by providing expertise, resources and services
• Complete monthly ancillary sectional report and document all training paperwork pertaining to management of internal quality assurance-IQA systems for capturing and storing training
• Assist in the identification of the training needs and work with the Mining Training Coordinator, Mining Supervisors, and Coordinators to manage and implement relevant training programmes.
• Produce highly efficient and productive Blast Holders and, Drill Operators, and QAQC personnel who will operate efficiently.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Certificate IV in training/Assessor or equivalent
• Certificate in Blasthole Drilling Operations
• First Aid certificate
• Valid Blasting Certificate
